Somebody on my neighborhood news group is getting rid of this awesome Yorx turntable/cassette/8 track/tuner/equalizer. I don’t know if the speakers come with. But best of all, it’s FREE. I think I need to jump on this before somebody else grabs it.
Edit: I just noticed the POWER BOOSTER button. How awesome is that?!?? Of course, it’s likely just the Loudness button.

I’m imagining that as a head unit, and can’t stop giggling.

Did you notice the POWER BOOSTER button?

Smack in the middle of the dash in a White on White 1978 Eldorado.

That was a serious bit of kit in its day.
Cassette, 8 track and a turntable? Ballin!

That had it all, and there was probably some old dude complaining that there was a cassette instead of a reel-to-reel on it.

That was a piece of junk back in the day. Still is today.

I hope it is the giggle of someone who recognizes how ridiculous this is and how terrible it will sound....

Go get it, then kill it with fire. Be sure to film it so we can all enjoy the destruction of another piece of junk.

See if you can find the date of manufacture on it.
If it was built in the 1970s, the quality is probably good.
And given that it includes an 8 track player, it’s probably from the 1970s.
If it was made in the 1980s or later, it’s probably crap.

Yorx, like Candle/Citizen, is one of those brands that started off well, but then went to shit by becoming purveyors of cheap junk.

That, and the fact that you know someone tried it back then.

You should pick it up before I do.
